A bottom mounted mash agitator system incorporates offset paddles to ensure thorough mixing of the mash. Paddles are driven by 2.2 kW geardrive and are controlled by an AC variable frequency drive. Recommended paddles rotations are 35-36 RPM. A mash hydration unit, into which enters an auger transporting malt from grist case, is mounted to the tank head and provides complete hydration of grain. Tank is outfitted with a light as well as a side view window to allow for internal observation.  Vessel heating is provided by two independently controlled steam jackets at 1° C per minute and steam pressure of 4 bar at 150° C temperature. Inlet of steam into steam jackets is controlled from central control panel by electrically operated solenoid valves, depending on temperature and speed of heating, and also by use of manually operated regulating valves controlled from brewhouse platform.  A 450 mm round man-way-cover and 250 mm vent-chimney are placed on the top of dished head. Tank is equipped in the head with a rotating mechanical sprayball for thorough washing and sanitation
